About the Formulation
Transfrost is a prostaglandin analogue ophthalmic solution containing Travoprost 40 mcg/mL formulated to reduce elevated intraocular pressure (IOP) in patients with glaucoma and ocular hypertension. Benzalkonium Chloride Solution 0.02% w/v acts as a preservative to maintain the sterility of the ophthalmic solution.
Indication / Uses
Indicated for the reduction of elevated intraocular pressure (IOP) in patients with primary open-angle glaucoma and ocular hypertension.
Mechanism of Action (MOA)
Travoprost is a prostaglandin F2α analogue that increases uveoscleral outflow of aqueous humor, thereby enhancing fluid drainage from the eye. This reduces elevated intraocular pressure and helps maintain better IOP control.
