About the Formulation
Olo-Optic is an anti-allergic ophthalmic solution containing Olopatadine HCl equivalent to Olopatadine 0.2% w/v, formulated for the relief of ocular allergy symptoms. Stabilized Oxychloro Complex 0.005% w/v acts as a preservative system to help maintain the sterility of the ophthalmic solution.
Indication / Uses
Indicated for the prevention and treatment of ocular itching associated with allergic conjunctivitis.
Mechanism of Action (MOA)
Olopatadine is a selective H₁-antihistamine and mast-cell stabilizer that blocks histamine-mediated allergic responses and inhibits the release of inflammatory mediators from mast cells. This helps reduce itching, redness, watering, and other symptoms of allergic conjunctivitis.
