About the Formulation
Naphasym is a multi-action ophthalmic solution containing Naphazoline HCl, Chlorpheniramine Maleate, Camphor, and Carboxymethylcellulose Sodium, formulated to provide relief from ocular redness, itching, irritation, and dryness. Stabilized Oxychloro Complex acts as a preservative system to help maintain the sterility of the formulation.
Indication / Uses
Used for temporary relief of eye redness, itching, burning, irritation, and dryness associated with minor ocular allergies and environmental irritants.
Mechanism of Action (MOA)
Naphazoline is an α-adrenergic agonist that constricts conjunctival blood vessels and reduces redness, while Chlorpheniramine blocks H₁ histamine receptors to relieve allergic itching. Camphor provides a cooling and soothing sensation, and Carboxymethylcellulose Sodium acts as a lubricant to moisturize and protect the ocular surface.
