About the Formulation
Moxishel is a fluoroquinolone antibiotic ophthalmic solution containing Moxifloxacin HCl equivalent to Moxifloxacin 0.5% w/v, formulated for the treatment of susceptible bacterial eye infections.
Indication / Uses
Indicated for the treatment of bacterial conjunctivitis and other susceptible bacterial infections of the eye.
Mechanism of Action (MOA)
Moxifloxacin inhibits bacterial DNA gyrase and topoisomerase IV, enzymes essential for bacterial DNA replication and repair. This disrupts bacterial DNA synthesis, leading to bacterial cell death and elimination of the infection.
