About the Formulation
Dolviran is a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory ophthalmic formulation containing Nepafenac 0.1% w/v, used to control ocular pain and inflammation. Stabilized Oxychloro Complex 0.005% w/v acts as a preservative system to help maintain the sterility of the ophthalmic solution.
Indication / Uses
Indicated for the treatment of ocular pain and inflammation associated with cataract surgery.
Mechanism of Action (MOA)
Nepafenac is a prodrug that penetrates the cornea and converts to amfenac, which inhibits cyclooxygenase (COX-1 and COX-2) enzymes, reducing prostaglandin synthesis and thereby decreasing ocular pain and inflammation.
