About the Formulation
This is a fixed-dose respiratory combination containing Montelukast 10 mg and Doxofylline 400 mg as sustained-release (SR). It combines leukotriene receptor antagonism with bronchodilator activity to help improve airway function and provide better control of respiratory symptoms.
Indication / Uses
Used in the management of bronchial asthma and other obstructive airway conditions associated with bronchospasm, wheezing, and breathing difficulty.
Mechanism of Action (MOA)
Montelukast selectively blocks CysLT1 leukotriene receptors, reducing leukotriene-mediated bronchoconstriction, airway inflammation, and mucus production. Doxofylline is a xanthine bronchodilator that helps relax bronchial smooth muscle and improve airflow. Together, they provide complementary control of bronchoconstriction and airway inflammation.
