About the Formulation
Rabigold-L is a fixed-dose gastrointestinal combination containing Rabeprazole Sodium 20 mg as enteric-coated (EC) pellets and Levosulpiride 75 mg as sustained-release (SR) pellets. It combines acid suppression with prokinetic activity to provide comprehensive management of acid-related disorders associated with delayed gastric emptying and gastrointestinal motility disturbances.
Indication / Uses
Used in the management of GERD, acid-related dyspepsia, and gastrointestinal disorders associated with delayed gastric emptying and impaired gastric motility.
Mechanism of Action (MOA)
Rabeprazole inhibits the H⁺/K⁺-ATPase proton pump in gastric parietal cells, suppressing the final step of gastric acid secretion. Levosulpiride acts mainly as a dopamine D₂-receptor antagonist, enhancing gastrointestinal motility and promoting gastric emptying. Together, they help control gastric acidity and improve gastrointestinal motility.
